Winter carnival

A multi-day cold-weather community festival, common in the Adirondacks.

A winter carnival is a community festival held in the coldest part of the year, typically running parades, fireworks, outdoor competitions, and children's events across one or more weekends rather than a single continuous stretch. Both New York entries in this directory sit in the Adirondacks and both open in the first week of February. They are the only events here that start before April.
