A pull is a competition in which modified tractors or trucks drag a weighted sled down a dirt track. The sled's weight transfers forward as it moves, so the load gets progressively harder and almost no vehicle reaches the end. Distance covered decides the winner, measured in feet, and entries run in classes divided by vehicle weight and engine type. It is a standard grandstand draw at New York county fairs.
