Gate admission

Gate admission is what you pay to get onto the fairgrounds. It is normally separate from ride wristbands, grandstand event tickets, and parking, which is how a fair can be cheap to enter and still expensive to spend a day at. Some events charge nothing at the gate. Two agricultural fairs, Putnam County and Seneca County, list free admission, as do several festivals, though Seneca charged for parking.
