The national youth development program whose members exhibit at county fairs.

4-H is a youth development program delivered in New York through Cornell Cooperative Extension's county offices. Members raise and show livestock and enter classes in crops, baking, sewing, woodworking, photography, and public presentation, competing against other young exhibitors rather than adults. Several New York fairs are named for the program, and at many county fairs the 4-H entries are the reason the animal barns are full.
